The Ministerial Decree of April 19, 2006 states that "[...] an intersection must be sized with reference to specialized traffic demand in relation to permitted maneuvers. The elements and parameters to be determined based on traffic demand, referring to the peak design period, are: [...] - for roundabout intersections: the capacity of the roundabout and the level of service of the solution adopted; [...] The level of service of the intersection must not be lower than that prescribed by Ministerial Decree 5.11.2001 for the type of roads converging at the junction. [...]
