Some of the many design projects in which our software solutions have been used
Motorways
The examples shown are some of the many design projects in which our road-design software solutions have been used, providing essential support for horizontal and vertical alignment and for calculating bill-of-quantities amounts.
The designer:
- can have control over the standards required by current regulations
- take advantage of the dynamic nature of the entire project
- share your work by using DWG or LandXML formats to ensure maximum compatibility
- have a simple tool to use, with great flexibility in application
The software solutions used are CIVIL Design Roads and Railways and Road Signs. For projects with lower complexity, the single-axis solution (one alignment per DWG) QUICK Roads by CIVIL Design or Module S by CAD&Pillar is also proposed.

Roundabouts
The examples shown are real-world application cases in which the intersection-design features included in the Roads and Railways solution of CIVIL Design were used.
There are features for the planimetric design of intersections, verification in accordance with DM 19/04/2006, and quantity takeoff of the works. In particular, the following stand out:
- deflection-radius checks
- visibility checks
- capacity and level-of-service checks

Railways
The railway design solutions include functions for horizontal and vertical alignment and for quantity takeoff through the Roads and Railways solution of CIVIL Design.
The add-on module Rail Control includes specific features for the survey and redesign of existing railway lines:
by means of celerimetric techniques combined with leveling and GPS, the user can automatically reconstruct the geometry of the as-built condition and proceed with the redesign and optimization of the line through dedicated commands.
