That solution provides instruments for 3D modelling, planning, standards checking of any type of roads, railways, junctions, canals, banks and, generally, any kind of linear work. Easy as using AutoCAD.
Brief Description
Time due to changes made on the alignment are minimal, since this is dynamically related to profiles, cross sections, and so on, that are updated according to the new situation.
Particularly useful it’s the possibility to modify an alignment both in graphic way (directly acting with the grips) and in tabular way (changing geometric attributes of the single elements constituting it, for example the length of a clothoid or a curve radium).
Once the alignment has been defined, it’s possible to obtain speed diagram and to perform verifications according to current regulation criteria.
As regards to visibility diagrams, the user can choose whether to perform a 2D or a 3D verification: in the first case it will be sufficient to have the plan and to materialize obstacles merely by drawing them with AutoCAD in order to have a complete report about existing sight distances and required sight distances as provided by the norm; if you choose to perform a 3D verification, you have to create a model with specific functionalities and to draw 3D obstacles with AutoCAD 3DFace. Potentialities of this method are enormous since it allows to recreate obstacles to visibility in a realistic way, thus performing very precise verifications.
In both cases software program provides necessary diagrams and layouts.
The program enables to define any design cross section simply by drawing them with AutoCAD polylines, which are then automatically inserted, granting the possibility to intervene, also manually, to make even very complex cross sections. Dynamism as regards to modifications reduces to the minimum time spent in operating changes. Commands for quantity computing enable to define any number of items and to calculate area and volume of any type of cross section.
After having the planning idea concretized, it is extremely easy and quick to obtain definite design layouts since it is possible to use predefined styles for labelling and paging of final printouts.
